…Contacts between Western and Russian Christians should not be understood simply as the West helping people in the USSR. The contacts should have as their base spiritual faith, not material aid, and their aim should be to suppress evil not only in the USSR but in the West as well. And here the Russian Christian’s experience of long years of suffering could be of immense benefit.
