Released!

    Natalya Lazareva has been released from camp after being relieved of her sentence to two years of internal exile. Her four years sentence to strict regime labor camp expired on March 13. The reason for this action by the Soviet authorities is not yet known. She is reported to have returned to Leningrad, but has not yet received official permission to live there.

     Lazareva, 38, was one of the founding members of the Christian-feminist “Maria Club’, spent 4 years in a strict regime camp where she suffered, from such ill. health, that other women in the camp undertook hunger strikes on her behalf. (KNS No. 251)
